Intermission ... Armistice Day on Dumyat

Yesterday was another beautiful day.

I live in the home town of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders ..so went up Dumyat to pay my respect and to pause for a moment.

Its always good to remember those days Ian. I guess its harder for many younger folk to pause as they wont know father or mothers lost in wars.

As I sat on Dumyat..I thought of my great Uncle. I knew him as a kid. He was buried twice. The first time was by a bomb in Palestine during WW1. He was lucky as he survived that but lost his hearing and had to walk with a stick for his remaining days.

He was special to me.. and I was named after him :-D
